What is it:

A certified USDA Organic-certified astaxanthin extract derived from a microalgae called Haematoccus pluvialis. Part of the carotenoid family of antioxidants, this rich, dark red pigment gives this algae, as well as shrimp and salmon, their strikingly distinctive colors. Microalgae creates this antioxidant to preserve its DNA during stressful environmental conditions like drought.
