1. Start slow


Rome wasn't built in a day and healthy habits most certainly aren't either.

Choose one healthy action and focus on putting just that single habit into effect for a couple of weeks until it becomes automatic. Your body will thank you!

Most importantly, don't be too hard on yourself. Like all of us, you will hit the snooze button multiple times on some days and forget all about your health goals. There's nothing wrong with that! Demanding perfection only adds more stress to our already chaotic lives.

If you don't meet your healthy morning goals for one, or even a few days, cut yourself some slack and begin again the next day!

 

2. Breathe


We're all doing the best we can. That's why the most powerful way to begin your day is with self-love and self-acceptance.

Try listening to a morning guided meditation and breathe deeply, focusing on the present moment and setting a positive intention for your day.

Even if it's just five minutes, taking a moment to center yourself and connect with the present moment allows you to live more consciously and intentionally. You will undoubtedly feel more confident, motivated, and closer to reaching your goals.

 

3. Hydrate


If you're a beginner and don't know where to begin when it comes to building a positive morning routine, try starting with this:

Place a large cup of lemon water next to your bed before you go to sleep and chug it first thing in the morning!

This will immediately replenish electrolytes, energize your system, and kickstart your metabolism. Piece of cake, right!? Drinking water first thing in the morning is one of the healthiest (and easiest) habits to start adding to your mornings right away!
